No comparison, it is the decision to marry my high school sweetheart–Michael

Right after we were married in 1984, we moved to Columbia, Missouri and also a few other places; Memphis, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Atlanta and then our present home in Lake in the Hills came into play after My husband took a position with Home Depot development and Construction in Chicago. Kim was still able to stay with the same Lab company for almost 20 years, despite all the moving, which she left and has been working forLabCorp for two years. Atlanta did become home and it is where our children were born, however Chicago is great with all the activities and also 5 hours from our roots in St Paul Minnesota-GO TWINS/VIKINGS. We basically took a house in Chicago we really did not plan on owning and planned on being there only a short time., the market in Chicago was definitely more expensive than our 1 acre home site in Atlanta! We have now put our kids through over 12 years of Catholic education and loved it here…..

Here is a little information about Lake in the Hills and our subdivision:

Lake in the Hills (often abbreviated L.I.T.H. or LITH) is a village in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 23,152 at the 2000 census. A 2006 special census put the village’s population at 29,175.

The village is most known for its rampant residential growth which occurred most heavily in the 1990s. Once a sleepy lakeside village of cottages and small ranches, its population skyrocketed as developers flocked to the area in the 1990s. Its population increased by 17,000 people (a nearly 400% increase) over this period, making it one of the most rapidly growing suburbs of Chicago and in the United States at that time. At the height of its building boom, the village issued over 1,000 residential building permits in 1995.

Spring Lake Farm (north) is a subdivision of Miller Road, west of Frank Road. It was also among the village’s first subdivisions, built circa early 1990s, by Sundance Homes and Americana Homes. It includes both single-family and multi-family homes.

I would have to say the first thing I would think of is a great sense of humor. Another important endearment is comittment to a mutual relationship and ability to understand that it takes time and effort to develop a mutual friendship that is positive, healing, constructive, and uplifting. I am especially attracted to a friends eyes and expressions, as a mirror to the soul. The ability to see more than the surface and truly develop an interesting and lasting relationship that can be very satisfying and beneficial for both parties.

Well generally it is wherever I am, as God is in all and with all. Nature, architecture, others, and even that special place I have in my house to pray. and at my church. Most special is the chapel at Good Counsel Hill in Mankato Minnesota. Home of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, conference center, convent, retirement home. (See Picture Below)

I had my birthday this week and got all kinds of well wishes, I was off work as well. Tonight we are getting a new car which is very exciting as well. However, the biggest thing to happen to me was to visit a friend, one of our managers at work, who was in the hospital. She just had a full hip replacement just yesterday and truly. I hope, appreciated my visit. I brought flowers, a card, a small little trinket, and mostly my caring, compassionate heart. Some people are scared of hospitals or think they are imposing on others in their worst hour, however I really am blessed that her and her husband enjoyed the visit and she is on the mend.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.” Colossians 2:6-10

I would have to say that walking out the same day, from a company I was with for twenty years is probably the top one on the list!! There were things that were not being resolved with HR and employees who were downright harrassing. As a supervisor I had had enough. I left the same day I turned in my resignation and do not regret it for a minute. It has helped me grow in wisdom, character, and integrity; not to mention gaining a very satisfying position 3 months later. After basically putting my husband in shock, and having a few close friends get me through, I am more at peace and say move on, move on to where you are appreciated for what you are, what you do, and what you have accomplished

My parents were 18 and 19 years of age when I was born 2 months premature. They also had a 7 month old, my brother. For two young kids who eloped, they tried their best to always give us all we needed. We also had a large extended family that took care of us as well. For a few years, my brother and I were almost treated as twins!

Life has been exhilarating, challenging, loving, fun, laughable, pain, joy, laughter, tears…..I am and have been always where I was supposed to be, right at the right time, in God’s time, not my own. I struggle and challenge the reins, but it always comes, but in due time……Patience is truly a virtue.

Where am I going?….Don’t know exactly, however enjoying the journey.

Progress is moving or going forward, proceeding onward, or advancing.

I guess I would say that in many aspects of my journey I have made tremendous progress in going forward, moving onward, and also advancing far. It is the steps that go off in different directions that make the course much different. I think that is because I try to drive the car and not be a passenger, as God wants us to be. To let go and leave the driving to God….
