Resurrection ——————————————————————————–
A rising again; the resumption of vigor.
I found this description different than all the definitions of the rising from the dead. resumption of vigor can be shown in all creation as Spring comes; new buds on the trees, new babies and animals, new flowers to behold, new friends, new challenges, new joys, new outcomes, new outlooks, new coats of paint, shiny perspectives. freshing and new, bold and beautiful.

I have to say it gets the boys out of the house as well!, going golfing….LOL

On this day of Palm Sunday, I thought I would meditate on the word Passion……

Passion (from the Latin verb patior, meaning to suffer or to endure, also related to compatible) is an emotion applied to a very strong feeling about a person or thing. Passion is an intense emotion compelling feeling, enthusiasm, or desire for something. The term is also often applied to a lively or eager interest in or admiration for a proposal, cause, or activity or love. Passion can be expressed as a feeling of unusual excitement, enthusiasm or compelling emotion towards a subject, idea, person, or object. A person is said to have a passion for something when they have a strong positive affinity for it. A love for something and a passion for something are very similar feelings..

Right after we were married in 1984, we moved to Columbia, Missouri and also a few other places; Memphis, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Atlanta and then our present home in Lake in the Hills came into play after My husband took a position with Home Depot development and Construction in Chicago. Kim was still able to stay with the same Lab company for almost 20 years, despite all the moving, which she left and has been working forLabCorp for two years. Atlanta did become home and it is where our children were born, however Chicago is great with all the activities and also 5 hours from our roots in St Paul Minnesota-GO TWINS/VIKINGS. We basically took a house in Chicago we really did not plan on owning and planned on being there only a short time., the market in Chicago was definitely more expensive than our 1 acre home site in Atlanta! We have now put our kids through over 12 years of Catholic education and loved it here…..

Here is a little information about Lake in the Hills and our subdivision:

Lake in the Hills (often abbreviated L.I.T.H. or LITH) is a village in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 23,152 at the 2000 census. A 2006 special census put the village’s population at 29,175.

The village is most known for its rampant residential growth which occurred most heavily in the 1990s. Once a sleepy lakeside village of cottages and small ranches, its population skyrocketed as developers flocked to the area in the 1990s. Its population increased by 17,000 people (a nearly 400% increase) over this period, making it one of the most rapidly growing suburbs of Chicago and in the United States at that time. At the height of its building boom, the village issued over 1,000 residential building permits in 1995.

Spring Lake Farm (north) is a subdivision of Miller Road, west of Frank Road. It was also among the village’s first subdivisions, built circa early 1990s, by Sundance Homes and Americana Homes. It includes both single-family and multi-family homes.

I would have to say the first thing I would think of is a great sense of humor. Another important endearment is comittment to a mutual relationship and ability to understand that it takes time and effort to develop a mutual friendship that is positive, healing, constructive, and uplifting. I am especially attracted to a friends eyes and expressions, as a mirror to the soul. The ability to see more than the surface and truly develop an interesting and lasting relationship that can be very satisfying and beneficial for both parties.

Well generally it is wherever I am, as God is in all and with all. Nature, architecture, others, and even that special place I have in my house to pray. and at my church. Most special is the chapel at Good Counsel Hill in Mankato Minnesota. Home of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, conference center, convent, retirement home. (See Picture Below)

When I looked up friendship it refered to friendship as a type of companionship, that a human towards another human being or an organism can have. Now I do not know many of my friends that are organisms, but perhaps on some days!! You know who you are! LOL. The bond in which one has a feeling towards another is long and lasting if the two parties give the kind of time and effort that is needed. Friendship is the cooperative and supportive relationship between people, or animals. In some sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, affection, and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis.
Friends welcome each other’s company, exhibit loyalty, often to the point of altruism. specific tastes will usually be similar and they may share enjoyable activities. They might engage in helping behavior, such as the exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. Practical execution of friendship is little more than the trust that someone will not harm them.
During the last 48 years, yes I turned 48 on the 16th, I have found so many friends that have completed all of these aspects in the very definition of the word. Most of my friendships have been long and lasting. My newer friends can actually take comfort in that, I take my friendships very seriously, giving time and effort, as well as engaging loyalty.
I find the biggest thing I need to do is be more present. This is difficult when so many of my friends are hundreds of miles away, but I try my best to keep in the loop…….The Friendship Circle…..Kim

I had my birthday this week and got all kinds of well wishes, I was off work as well. Tonight we are getting a new car which is very exciting as well. However, the biggest thing to happen to me was to visit a friend, one of our managers at work, who was in the hospital. She just had a full hip replacement just yesterday and truly. I hope, appreciated my visit. I brought flowers, a card, a small little trinket, and mostly my caring, compassionate heart. Some people are scared of hospitals or think they are imposing on others in their worst hour, however I really am blessed that her and her husband enjoyed the visit and she is on the mend.

Well if I have to choose, I would say I get committed and go way overboard in that committment and do not know when to stop. I get a passion for the project, however sometimes cannot let go and pass on to others. There are also times when I start a specific project and lose interest after the initial items are taken care of. I guess after the ideas, goals, and visions are completed I want to delegate the rest, as I want to move on the the next interesting thing. Like the butterfly in the picture…..

My parents were 18 and 19 years of age when I was born 2 months premature. They also had a 7 month old, my brother. For two young kids who eloped, they tried their best to always give us all we needed. We also had a large extended family that took care of us as well. For a few years, my brother and I were almost treated as twins!
